LandArt Students view a PowerPoint presentation that presents artwork from a number of Land Artists. They discuss the ways in which these artists have used the elements of art (eg line, colour, value, texture, shape, size) in their work. They also consider how art is a useful medium for communicating messages and themes. Students consider what makes a work "LandArt". They examine some artworks of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and discuss whether or not these artworks might be classified as LandArt. Students create their own LandArt in a small group (3 students) and use photographs and video images of their work to create a short film about their LandArt. They consider responsible media practice when selecting music for their film. Garbage Art Students view a PowerPoint presentation that presents artwork that uses garbage or recycled materials. They discuss the messages that these artists might be communicating through their art. They use recycled materials to make their own artworks. |
